Marvin and William
Yesterday after the christening we went home and relaxed for a few hours. I then got a frantic call from my cousin Leeia. She was at Jeepoy and Rachelle's house. Marvin the Labrador and William the Beagle were missing. I'm pretty attached to those 2 dogs and I know what it is like to loose a dog. I got changed and drove with my dad to my cousin’s house to help look for the boys. My dad dropped me off at their house and then he started looking for the dogs. I then walked around the estate with a photo of the dogs and was asking every Tom, Dick and Harry if they had seen them.
Some of you may think oh my god this chick is sad. But if you are a dog owner you would know that having dogs as companions is like having a son or a daughter by your side. Dogs never complain they are always wagging their tail, and making you feel better when your down. Most of us went home after a while because we just couldn’t find them anywhere. I was so sad and I couldn’t stop thinking about where they could be? and what they are doing? My cousin printed out some signs and put them up and gave them to people in the neighbourhood

I got a message at around 10ish from my cousin Rachelle. A local animal hospital got a call and picked up the boys and identified them from their microchips. Thank god for technology. Im so glad it was a happy ending but I still can't help but think about all those other lost dogs that can't find their owner. If you are thinking of buying a dog please consider adopting from a local pound or shelter. This would really reduce that amount of dogs that get euthanised every year.
